How Age is Calculated
Your age is calculated by finding the difference between your birth date and today's date. The calculator accounts for varying month lengths (28, 29, 30, or 31 days) and leap years to give you an exact result.
The formula works by first computing the difference in years, then adjusting for months and days. If the current day is before your birth day in the month, it borrows from the previous month.
Age on Other Planets
Each planet in our solar system takes a different amount of time to orbit the Sun. This orbital period determines the length of a "year" on that planet. Here are the orbital periods:
| Planet | Orbital Period (Earth Years) | Example (30 Earth years) |
|---|---|---|
| Mercury | 0.24 | ~124.5 Mercury years |
| Venus | 0.62 | ~48.8 Venus years |
| Mars | 1.88 | ~15.9 Mars years |
| Jupiter | 11.86 | ~2.5 Jupiter years |
| Saturn | 29.45 | ~1.0 Saturn years |
| Uranus | 84.02 | ~0.36 Uranus years |
| Neptune | 164.79 | ~0.18 Neptune years |
